Reviews - Shepherd’s Mill
Reviews summary
Once a neighborhood staple, the restaurant now divides diners: several guests report slow, inattentive service and disappointing buffet fare—wilted salad, dry reheated sides, overcooked tough meats and soggy steam pans—while a few items (fresh fries, cheesecake) get praise. Holiday service reportedly suffered long waits and poor carving-station management; complaints about prices not matching value recur. Management responded apologetically in at least one case. Staff members defend the kitchen and hospitality, suggesting inconsistency rather than a uniformly poor experience.

Even though I’m a server there, I love the food and I love the people I work for and with. I took family there for dinner. I was very pleased with the service and the food. My family was very impressed as well. I would never hesitate on recommending Shepherds Mill to anyone! They all strive to serve the best food ever! What Bethany Benes dislikes about Shepherd’s Mill:
I wouldn’t return to this restaurant. It has turned into a grill, and I ordered chicken chunks while my husband had a barbecue sandwich. The food wasn’t impressive. We ended up paying over $38 for two adult meals and two kids' meals, yet there was no one else dining there. View all feedback.

I submitted a review for this place on Shepherd of the Hills. I'll also include pictures of the BBQ nachos, which were absolutely delicious!
The ribs, which were the special, were tough. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, despite the fact that the restaurant was empty. The fries were fresh and tasty, but the onion rings were cold. Overall, this was not a pleasant dining experience. We ended up taking the food home for our dogs to avoid wasting it. We won't be coming back here again.
We are here for the Whodunnit Hoedown dinner theater and having a blast! The food is delicious and the show is hilarious!
Had the unfortunate opportunity to eat here Christmas night for the buffet. The service was nonexistent. We were given our first drinks, had to track someone down for a refill on a drink and when they brought it, they set it down over plates that needed to be cleared. Now for the food, which was dry tasteless and In "steam pans that were so full of water that they spilled over the sides. The salad bar consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, peaches, cottage cheese and something that was orange which I assumed was some sort of carrot salad. Even the dinner roles were hard and dry. No one in our party could finish their dinner. When checking out an voicing displeasure with the service and food, we were charged full price, our card was processed and then was told that had we shared that we didn 't like the meal before paying we could have gotten our money refunded. I 'm not even sure how that works. Please do yourself a favor, if buffet is all they have to offer, save your money and go elsewhere. I have just spoken to the owners who were very polite, apologized for our experience and offered a refund if desired. I appreciate their willingness to listen and their understanding
