Nice people beautiful grounds the beach was not what I expected and it's the name so there is no Refrigeration in the room and there wasn't any dining service but restaurants are close by and I would recommend guacamole. There's a little market and one of the staff members at the end suggested if I needed a cooler with some ice that they would provide it for me View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Owenego Inn:
What's happened to The Hungry Dog?! Gone is the varied and delicious food selection. Now there is only a food truck that while it has the ordering, paying and serving-up system down pat only offers a very limited, heavily meat-oriented menu. There's nothing for kids, no salad choices at all, no lobster rolls, no fruit options, no vegetarian choices. We will be back at Owenego, but we definitely won't be back to eat T... Having worked in the wedding industry for over 8 years, I can confidently say that Owenego is one of our favorite venues in Connecticut. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, even to vendors like ourselves. The grounds are well-maintained and the venue itself is stunning, especially during sunset. If you are considering having your wedding at Owenego, you will not be disappointed.
This restaurant is always worth a visit. The staff is fantastic, very friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The food and drinks are excellent, with top-notch service.
The Owenego Inn has been a favorite venue of mine since my Aunt Jen's wedding when I was a child. It has a historic charm without feeling outdated. The event space is spacious enough for a large wedding, accommodating up to 175 guests (estimated). The property is situated right on the water with a deck and gazebo for guests to enjoy. The bar area is cozy and inviting, with professional and friendly staff. The food at the events I have attended has been delicious, and the venue is clean and well-maintained. In addition to weddings, they host various events throughout the summer with food trucks and live music. I recently discovered that it is open to the public as well, and parking is ample. Don't overlook The Owenego Inn for your next birthday, wedding, or special event!
What a beautiful place, right on the water, great staff and delicious food. Can't ask for more.Food drinks: I have tried penne Alla vodka, chicken Florentine, Grilled salmon, eggplant involtini, everything was very good.
My husband and I got married at the Owenego in May and it was a dream come true. Pat, John, Meg and their entire team were the most incredible venue hosts, and kept the day running so smoothly (even when things with outside vendors went sideways they were there to save the day). The Owenego is an incredibly special place and was exactly what we wanted for a classic but laid back wedding on the shoreline. The gardens, the charm, and the stunning views made for the most spectacular day it rained and it was still as gorgeous as I could have ever hoped for.The planning process is also a delight, as the team was always happy to hop on the phone to talk through a question or a nuance, unbelievably patient, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making it a special day for us and our guests. Our vendors were always delighted when they heard we were getting married at the O, which was a sign that we were in great hands!
