Went for tea and had a wonderful experience. The food and tea were amazing. The spinach tart and scones were my favorite oh and the soup. Cannot wait to do it again with my daughters mother. The service was excellent. It's back open with a new owner!!! Reservations now needed. She is great! My first experience with a Tearoom and I loved it. You can tell she loves what shes doing and even asked us to give open suggestions. I love everything and wouldn't change a thing!! Food was AMAZING and so was tea. She even asked us of we had allergies first. The only thing my friend mentioned is in other tea rooms you get your own pot, but here you get a regular pot filled over and over again for the whole table, so hopefully you can agree :

My daughter loves tea time at home and she really enjoyed herself. It was a cozy atmosphere and it had lots of antiques which gave it some character.
Laid back atmosphere while still fancy. Cute place. Delicious tea. Friendly staff. Accommodating around my food allergies (as much as they could be without advance notice). Highly enjoyable.
The owner is super nice. She makes the service personable and she can't do enough. She really stands out. There are only 4 or 5 tea varieties. And to have unlimited tea the whole table has to agree to one flavor. That was disappointing. The chicken soup was delicious! Never had something like it. But the croutons were not crispy. The tea accompaniment was tasty, but I felt it lacked some finesse. The slices of smoked salmon and cucumber in the sandwiches were a bit thicker than I have experienced in other places. Comparing to other tea houses, it's okay. But there's at least one other tea house in the Bay Area that I found far superior. In all, it was nice.
Dearest Friend surprised me with a reservation for Sunday Afternoon Tea at this charming establishment. Could not have been more fun. The food was delicious, every course better than the previous. Owner was extremely knowledgeable and most gracious. Soup and scones were to die for. Great event for Moms/Daughters and/or Grammies/Grands. Plan to take your time to relax and enjoy...90 minutes will do it. Bravo!
