Garden Banquet & Convention Centre

Throughout the evening, I felt that the students were not given the experience they deserved. It seemed that if it were a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, or business event, the service would have been better. The students remained respectful and well-behaved despite the shortcomings. At one point, a glass broke in a hallway near the bathroom, and no one took responsibility for cleaning it up for hours, even after it was reported to the wait staff. Overall, the "standard service" at The Garden is definitely subpar. I will be advising my colleagues and friends to avoid booking this banquet hall in the future. It was a highly disappointing experience.

I have had great experiences at this restaurant in the past, but my recent visit was disappointing. I attended a large community fundraising event and while the setting was beautiful, the meal did not meet my expectations. There was only one cash bar for a crowded lobby reception, which was not sufficient. The Caesar salad was decent, but the prime rib seemed overcooked with no hint of pink. The roasted potatoes seemed to have been sitting on a steam table for too long and the root vegetables were bland. Dessert was okay, but it resembled more of a chocolate mousse than the Tiramisu listed on the menu. Despite the disappointments with the meal, the service was excellent. When the server noticed I wasn't eating my meal, they promptly brought a supervisor who offered me another portion. Although I declined as everyone else had finished, dessert was being served. Hopefully, this was just a one-time lapse in quality, as the restaurant has the potential to do much better.

We attended a company's function at this banquet hall in December 2012. The hall is big and very beautiful. Food and service was very good.

I can't speak to the internal workings of this restaurant, but as a guest at a Chinese wedding, I found this place to be absolutely stunning.
