Dawat-E-Khas - Brampton
Dawat-E-Khas
Description
Dawat-e-Khaas, a popular restaurant in Ontario, gained fame for its amazing Chargha chicken served on a bed of rice. Despite some mixed reviews and reports of decreasing quality, the menu offers a variety of mouth-watering dishes, such as the Malai kebab and badam kheer. The chargha is a standout, prepared live on charcoal. Service is generally good, and the owner is praised for excellent customer service. While there are some areas for improvement, like the overly thick nihari, the overall consensus is that Dawat-e-Khaas is a great spot for delicious takeout or a sit-in meal with friends and family.

I ordered boneless chicken biryani today and I would give 1 rating to biryani and raita as it is very very salty and can’t even eat just dumped it in garbage. When I called store then owner said that’s how we make our biryani. Owner is very rude and careless I would never recommend this to anybody and never visit again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Owner Rashid is extremely arrogant and thinks he's doing his customers a favour by serving them. Back 15 or so years ago whenever this restaurant opened I remembered it for having the best briyanis in Brampton. I tried their chicken briyani recently and I can tell you it's absolutely not like what it used to be. It's not even worthy enough for my dog to eat. It just tastes like plain rice with lots of food colouring and is extremely spicy. It was unedible I had to throw it out. I won't ever return here or recommend this place to anyone. I don't know how they have survived this long but the briyani is something to stay away from. You are better off boiling your basmati rice and using MDH spice packet and it will taste more flavourful than this briyani. Complete waste of money. And the chicken also tasted old.
