The cakes never disap... read more I am delighted that this charming tearoom is still thriving, and now has friendly staff. From breakfast to sandwiches, you can't go wrong. The cakes never disappoint - as a cake enthusiast, I find them light and delicious. They also serve good coffee. I am so happy I returned, as this is now one of our favorite places to visit.

They also have a lovely outdoor seating area with cozy wraps and electric heaters. Additionally, they offer a takeout service. The prices are very reasonable, and they use loose leaf tea instead of tea bags. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the menu is quite interesting. We tried the scones, which were large and served warm.

I am curious about the bubble and squeak offerings, which I will definitely try next time! It appears that many people go there for high tea events, which they seem to excel at.

Unfortunately the day we visited the train wasn't running but we will be back in the summer for cake and train rides!

My only complaint and it’s personal taste was beef and horseradish was not a good choice to put on. Also there was four of us and only 3 coronation chicken sandwiches. Apart from that everything else was spot on. Would love to come back for lunch.
