Portobello mushrooms followed by octopus and asparagus risotto. All very good. Finished with a complementary glass of port. Head waiter and waitress were both great good advice and amazing English to cover for our terrible Portuguese.

We started with the ve... read more This restaurant was chosen in part for its vegetarian options. We were warmly welcomed and the host patiently answered all our questions. We started with the vegetable soup, warm and thick mainly of peas. We had the eggplant Parmesan appetizer which was huge, the vegetable tagliatelle, the cheese stuffed portobello mushroom. The piece d’resistance was the grilled black pork which was not only tender and flavorful but the portion was more than enough for two people. We finished with the “chocolate muffin” with a molten chocolate center and vanilla ice cream all served with a bottle of Douro red wine. Just a superb meal.
