Some disappointed vegetarians struggled to find options, while others praised the traditional Yorkshire fare. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the portions are generous. The owner's personal touch adds to the charm, making it a must-visit for fish and chip enthusiasts. Don't miss the curry sauce, a standout condiment. Despite some hiccups with availability and taste, overall, The Golden Hind offers a quintessentially British dining experience that leaves customers dreaming of their next visit.
Five stars for 'golden hind fishing, '. Top-class service with a smile and a warm welcome from the three employees (not forget the jolly customers I chat with) what the fish and chips they were absolutely delicious! the chips were cut in the inner thick and fluffy. the so tasty fish had slightly crispy teig and was cooked to perfection. hey, I'm back. dave.
Seriously good fish and chips and they get even the salt and vinegar directly when they ask for a lot. beautiful juicy fish with light crisp teig and chips as they should be - brown and tasty! I hate pale chips and those were perfect, you don't find them too often in these days. curry was also great and the owners were friendly. I'm tied up why they don't open at the weekend, sure they would do a roaring trade. the journey here would be eating again.
Went to this chip shop today unexpectedly with my partner and dog after unsuccessfully hunting the egg seller's box, we got 2 fish 2 curry sauce and a chips to share, we ate it on the bench outside and it was honestly the best fish and chips we have both ever had, Perfectly cooked chips, perfect fish I don't usually like batter but really enjoyed this.
Best fish and chips for miles! Brilliant fish and chips and a wonderful, friendly welcome from great owners.
The best takeaway fish chips I’ve had in a long long time. The fish is cooked to order in beef dripping, as all good fish chips should be. Try the scones (aka patties in the part of West Yorkshire I grew up in). Friendly cheerful staff. Fantastic value. I highly recommend this establishment.
