Often call in for a drink after work it serves a purpose and Is very popular, always busy but like most spoons in dire need of a modernised look! Could do with been bigger to be honest , Shame there’s a lack of outside place to drink, toilets are generally ran down with broken locks, not clean, hope Tim plans on a refurbishment soon this place needs it! Staff are always great View all feedback.

Spending a long weekend in Shipley, decided to eat here for convenience, after a long drive. Everything fine on the COVID front, however I’m Coeliac (many coeliacs would not consider eating here because of the cross contamination risk, however never had a problem). Normally we... View all feedback.
We cannot believe this pub is up for sale and could be gone by the end of the week. As regular home and away supporters of Mansfield Town Football club we have been to many places up and down the country but always make it a good away day by having some lunch and pre match beers in a local spoons. The reason for this is simple. Pubs nearer the ground are rowdy, 10 deep and sell overpriced weak beer in plastic pots. The Spoons Corporation of which we are frequent fliers, offer a more sensible and sedate option. In proper glasses. Location is next to a market, shops and bus station in the town centre with a small car park some 50 yards way (avoiding the bus lane! . First impressions? Busy with a variety of punters and the odd character but hey, its a spoons after all. Clean and tidy, we've been to better but certainly also been to some far worse. We got the feeling it was business as usual and despite no Pepsi been available for our teetotaller driver, it didn't appear to be in the final thoes of an imminent run down. Unusually, the toilets were downstairs and certainly for the gents I can't speak for the ladies obviously, they could have been the subject of a recent revamp. We ordered food and that came hot and well presented with one of the bar staff kindly bringing over our drinks even though we weren't on the dreaded app. From here it was a steady 15 minute drive down to Bradford FC. Couldn't fault it. A message to the new owners. It isn't broke. Don't try to fix it . If, unlikely as it may seem, we're in the same league next year or even passing through, then we'd have no hesitation in coming back here regardless. Oh, and I know you are keen to hear how the footy went. Well, the Stags thrashed the Bantams 5 1 and all 3 points went back down the M1. Couldn't stop smiling, thanks lads! An all round grand day out Gromit. Tim, IMO you've made a ghastly mistake in wanting to get rid of this one......
I stopped by for a drink and a snack at this restaurant. Before eating, I went to the men's restroom to wash my hands. While there, I overheard another customer complaining about the lack of privacy in the restroom stalls. I checked it out and saw that all three cubicle locks were not working or missing. This made me concerned about the hygiene of the kitchen, so I decided not to eat there and left the premises.
This restaurant on the highway offers beer but lacks charm. Tim Whatshisname's unique selling point, Neverspoons, is something he can hold on to.
I took a friend here for his birthday lunch and we were both pleasantly surprised by how safe we felt in terms of Covid precautions. A lovely waitress guided us on how to order from the disposable menu, and she took our order promptly. We both decided to try the signature 8oz sirloin steak...
