Unfortunately, slow service and overcooked cod left some diners unimpressed. On the other hand, those who were more fortunate in their menu choices were highly satisfied, with delicious options like pan-fried sea bass and outstanding service making for a memorable evening. The elegant interior, lovely staff, and charming atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a romantic evening or pre-show meal. Despite some hiccups, many diners look forward to returning to this gem in Bradford.
Very interesting which was menu beautifully presented. Pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Booked here for a pre show meal car parks (NCP) offer a great discount on parking saving £8.40 on a long stay ask at theatre reception. We booked, advisable for evening performances we were met by very pleasant staff who showed us to our table let us get settled ask us for drink orders we were given menus and left to choose. We all picked starters sea food pancake ,pate and a selection of falafel. All very nice we had a bottle of Rose crisp and light. I had the pate and melba toast with a light chilli chutney very good . Main course I had meat loaf served with roasted sprouts and bacon the former I haven't eaten since school and nothing will change my mind on them. The meat loaf was wonderful very tasty and enough of it to make it filling. Others had Brisket with bbq sauce chips and onion rings apparently very good. One guest had sea food crumble the fish cooked in a white sauce. Unfortunately this was dry the sauce only about a centimetre deep dried out crumble ruining this course. The chap asked if it was ok he could see it was only partially eaten, however he knocked the price of this off the bill. We had deserts pana cota with cherry comport excellent , Apple pie and ice cream very good and tiramisu torte very nice they said. Total bill £109 bargain then the waiter said we could order drinks for the interval bingo these were waiting for us with a number at the table. In conclusion a really good meal pity about the crumble but I am sure this can be rectified easily. Look forward to next visit.
Lovely start to a night, before going to see Les Miserable we had a meal in the on site restaurant. The menu is fabulous, loads of starters, mains and tasty deserts. They also cater for gluten free people. Its not the cheapest place, but to be honest its worth the price you pay. The food was beautifully presented. The staff were amazing, not in your face but always very attentive.
This was a great way to relax before an evening at the theatre . The menu has many interesting choices and the staff were exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable
Yesterday my niece and I enjoyed a pre meal show at the 1914 restaurant at the Alhambra theatre in Bradford. I have visited several times before on the recommendation of friends, and have never been disappointed. The restaurant itself on the top floor is warm and welcoming, the food excellent, and the staff could not have been more attentive. It helped to make a day we had been looking forward to for months, as we were fortunate in having tickets to Les Miserables, perfect, and a day we will remember for a long time. We shall definitely be returning on our next trip to the Alhambra. Jean
