I read an article in a local newspaper about the fries, so I decided to give them a try. They are hand-cut and have the skins still on, and I have to say they are probably the best fries I've had in a long time. The restaurant itself is fantastic, and the service is excellent. As for parking, there's a lot at the back with a rear entrance.
Been going to CC for about two years now and the food and service never disappoint. Tonight the two cooks greeted us upon arrival and we were seated by our regular server, Kelly. Our server (Laura) who was on her second day there was fabulous. Food from the top down (drinks, creamy tomato blue, burgers, and cookie) were on point. The only disappointment was the owner. She was making rounds and asking patrons how everything was and spoke to the two tables next to ours. We were expecting her to stop by us next, as that was the obvious direction but just looked over and walked off. Not that we needed the acknowledgement or a visit, but we would have liked to have told her how things went and why we continue to return. We also would have liked to have mentioned Laura’s fine work ethic. Restaurant life is hard. I guess the owner is doing so well, she has the luxury of picking and choosing which patrons to speak with and ignoring others. Guess we didn’t look the part.
The food was excellent! It was flavorful and fresh. The service was outstanding. A must-visit! Parking is ample.
Ordered a bowl of the tomato soup and a bottle of beer. My friend ordered a cheeseberger and fries. After waiting for some time, our waitress informed us that our order ticket had gotten lost and asked what we had ordered. We finally got our lunch after waiting again. My bowl of soup was only half full with 2 small pieces of burnt bread. I asked if it was normal to only receive 1/2 bowl of soup for $8.95! She said yes. I thought that our drinks might be comped due to the order being lost. NOPE. Will not be going back. Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
We went here for a business lunch and wow! It was delicious! I got the mushroom and brie burger, which was extremely tasty and had lots of toppings (so I could actually taste them, unlike some other places)! My coworkers got a pizza, the shrimp poboy and a salad, all of which looked delicious, and from their feedback it sounded like they were! Another highlight for me was the French fries, which were obviously made in-house and fresh. They had just the right amount of salt, and I appreciated that there was malt vinegar on the table for dipping. The menu was quite extensive, so I hope to go back and try more of the things I was choosing among.
