The spit shack is located close to the airport, in... read more I went here for lunch with a colleague, after getting a glowing review of this place from another colleague! The spit shack is located close to the airport, in the middle of a row of nurseries. They claim to spit-roast the meat onsite and use local produce, including bread from a local baker. The ambience is very relaxing, customer service is good. Now for the food: you can choose between spit-roasted pork or lamb, with fresh bread and an array of extras (coleslaw, pickles, crackling etc.) and sauces (mint, chilli, ajvar etc.) I found the meat (lamb) to be on the dry side and would have liked a bit more sauce. I will be back to try the pork.

They use good quality ingredients and are not stingy with the filling, except for the applesauce, there could have been a bit more of that. The pork was roasted well and they cut it up nice and chunky. Yummy food at a great price, and you get plenty of it! I am looking forward to my next visit.
