Peacock Farm Pub Bracknell
Peacock Farm Pub Bracknell
Description
The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with a lovely interior and friendly staff. However, some recent diners were disappointed by the limited menu options, slow service, and underwhelming food quality. Despite this, there have been some positive reviews praising the delicious Sunday roast, good selection for vegetarians, and excellent service. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential but may need to work on consistency in order to provide a consistently positive dining experience for all customers.

At 7:15 p.m. on a Friday evening, many items on the menu were unavailable and the specials displayed were not actually available. There were very limited options for gluten-free and vegetarian dishes, with some choices not being available. The portion sizes were good and the dishes were well presented on hot plates, although it was frustrating that salad was also served on hot plates. The service was very slow, taking 45 minutes to place our order and continuing to be slow throughout the meal, except when it came time to present the bill. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a celebration evening. Despite this, we may give it another try in the hopes of a much quicker dining experience.
Unfortunately, we had a reservation for a table on Sunday at 1pm, but many items on the menu were unavailable. We only found out after we had placed our order. Some of us had to switch our meal choices, including my toddler. Apparently, there was no pasta left.
It had been a while since our last visit, but we were pleasantly surprised by the improvements at this restaurant. The unpleasant smell in the bathrooms was gone, which was a nice bonus. The servers were good, not overly attentive. My Venison Stroganoff was a bit salty for my taste, but still enjoyable. My wife's Steak and Tanglefoot pie was excellent. We will definitely be coming back again. We are curious to see what the Christmas Day menu will be like.
Have been to the peacock quite a few times now! love the ambience the free paper the food the service the value
We've only been here for drinks in the past, and it's got a very lovely cute yet fancy interior which has a really warm atmosphere. We returned yesterday for a Sunday roast, and we were all gravely disappointed. Meat was flavourless. Roast potatoes were soft and cold. Gravy was watery and weak. Unlimited Yorkshire puddings were indeed unlimited, but they were not Yorkshire puds. You picked it up and it would crumble into sawdust. They tasted and felt like Styrofoam. None of us came close to finishing our meals, despite paying Β£17 for our dinners. Will not be returning for food ever again. P.S. don't get their Peacock Farm lager, it tastes like Coors light. They have much better real beers and ales on tap.
