Cove Cafe & Bar - Bracken Ridge

The restaurant formerly known as The Cove may have undergone a name change, but its picturesque location is what continues to attract us. Easily reachable by bike or on foot, away from the hustle and bustle of roads and traffic, the restaurant offers a serene view overlooking the lawn and river. We wish more restaurants in Brisbane would take advantage of outdoor dining like this.

Last Saturday evening, my wife, two kids, and I were walking through Southbank looking for a place to have dinner. To our surprise, we were able to snag a table right on the promenade as we passed by. The staff was very accommodating to our dietary needs, especially my wife and eldest child who have food intolerances. We were all pleased with the food and service, so much so that I have already booked two Christmas functions for December. Despite seeing some negative reviews online, I wanted to share my positive experience to provide a balanced perspective. I am looking forward to seeing how our group bookings will go in December!

On August 16, 2013, we booked a dinner reservation at the Cove Bar and Dining for seven people on a Friday evening. My husband discovered numerous negative reviews, which made us apprehensive. Despite our concerns, we decided to give it a chance. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at the Cove. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. The ambiance was cheerful and inviting. It seems that they have taken steps to address any previous issues. We recommend giving them another chance. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was cozy on a cool evening, and the view of the city was lovely.

The new breakfast menu, sourced from sustainable producers and growers, is a nice change. The breakfast menu is not overly large, but has the varieties you would expect for the breakfast punters. The prices aren't horrible when you consider the great location overlooking the river and the good portion size.

Stuck waiting for my son to finish his written car learner test. This place is a great haven. Don't known what I would have done without it! Friendly and cheap. Fantastic coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating
