Bonny View Tavern - Bracken Ridge

Took my parents out for lunch with my daughter, we decided on the bonny view at Bald Hills, great choice, I had the beef burger, my daughter had the chicken burger, and my parents had the Fisher Mans platter, my parents could not finish their meal so I asked for a 'Doggy Bag' not a problem. Staff are very courteous and friendly and are eager to please. Food , drinks and prices are all good along with the staff.

Now been for dinner on three occasions spread over a couple of years and I'm pleased to say that the service and quality/variety of food has remained very good.There's a big selection on the menu to choose from, my most recent main course was the chicken parmigiano and it would have had to have been one of the largest I have ever seen. The chicken was succulent and not over done as many like this end up. A good side salad accompanied the chicken.There's plenty of seating arrangements including outdoors if you so wish. Very handy parking at the rear/side of the Tavern. There's a gaming room if so desired to try your hand after dinner.Will visit again when next in the area.

Food was good but needs renovating. Mould on ceiling, chairs falling apart outdoor playground needs cover.

50 years ago I danced Saturday nights away at the " Bonny View Tavern" and for the first time since then, returned for a Saturday lunch with family and friends.Bald Hills could be a small country town 200 kilometres from any Australian capital city yet it sits within the boundary of Brisbane city. The " Bonny View " epitomises the Australian Country Pub in every way. The building is well maintained and the furnishings and atmosphere beautifully preserved.The food is great, simple dishes of the highest quality superbly cooked and presented. The service was excellent despite being obviously short staffed!! Having to go through the Pokie Room to get a drink was a bit of a negative but after an initial negative impression things improved. This is not a criticism of the staff , they were excellent, obviously a Management issue.Definitely will be back on a regular basis!!

Love the Bonny, all day erry day. Go down get a few schoonies of gold with the boys every couple of days, ladies and fellas behind the bar are a good bunch real friendly always, good location close to public transport just in case you shouldn't drive see how ya go, life's not complete without a trip to the Bonny.
