this is an unusual review because I never stayed in the lark. I finished my reservation within 24 hours of my stay and the reception didn't have to refund my money, but my phone contact could not have been nicer or accommodating. I wish I had his name because I called him for his excellent service. he canceled my hotel room and didn't charge my credit card. I also used the feeder of their website to breakfast the nex... What User doesn't like about The Lark:
the room price was excessive for what seems to be a fairly old hotel that was simply given a flash of color and accessories to make it look trendy. I arrived late in the night after a full day of drive and the parking lot was full. I was told I couldn't park on the street, but the parking service was available. I was annoyed that the location was missing adiquate parking to meet the needs of the guests staying in the... View all feedback.
This renovated motel is situated on the west end of Main Street in Bozeman. Its convenient location near several excellent restaurants and easy access to shopping along Main Street make it a great choice for visitors. While parking can be a bit tight, there is the option to park on a side street. Overall, the rooms are rated 4 out of 5.
I stayed at this hotel for one night about a month ago. I travel to Bozeman monthly for work and try out different hotels each time as part of my job. I arrived at 6:00 PM on a Thursday and was quoted a rate of $199, which was $50 less than the online rate I had seen. However, during the night, I was disturbed by a violent pounding on my door and yelling from a man outside. I was terrified as a woman traveling alone and had to hide under the covers for 20 minutes until the situation was resolved. The next morning, I was charged $325 on my credit card, which I found to be excessive. Despite calling the hotel multiple times, I have yet to receive a detailed bill or explanation for the charge. Additionally, I had a leg injury and requested handicap parking, but the hotel insisted that I use their valet service. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and will not be returning to this hotel or any of its affiliates. I will be choosing to stay at a different hotel, even if it means paying double at the Marriott.
The rooms felt empty, cold, and unbalanced to me, lacking any Montana charm. However, some may appreciate its modern design. On the upside, the hotel's location is great for exploring downtown Bozeman, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and galleries within walking distance.
Absolutely spectacular. I attended a conference in Butte in May and opted to fly in/stay in Bozeman. The Lark came highly recommended, and did not dissapoint. I stayed in the Main Street King room (room 40 , and I knew what I was getting into. You should know- this is right on main street, you will hear street noise. However, what I didn't expect was the lengths that this staff goes to in order to make guests feel comfortable.Let's start before I even left. I booked directly with the hotel, and so they had my cell number. 24 hours prior to departure they asked if I needed anything via text. I sent a message back inquiring about early check-in and they would try to accomodate.Upon arrival around noon, I approached the Lobby. Whomever the nice staff on duty (there were 3 of them in the lobby on May 19th deserve bonuses. Not only did they go out of their way to immediately check and make sure the room was ready early and inspected, but they knew exactly how to make proper small talk while a customer waits (the woman at check in had family born in Pennsylvania, if that helps getting her a bonus! They were able to get me in early. The custom touches didn't stop there. Earplugs, a white noise machine, your own momento field guide, housekeeping notes and butterscotches made this experience great. I spent the evening on May 20th watching a busy Main Street from the small balcony- you don't need TV even their fast, complimentary wifi when you stay at The Lark. You should know-1 Valet parking, the garage about 4 blocks away is $5 per 12 hours if you're willing to walk. Otherwise I watched the valet run back and forth quickly to help cars.2 If you're hungry for a late night bite, the surrounding areas close somewhat earlier than I was used to. You may need to drive3 The room I was in had a small mini fridge. If you want your own Coke Zero or Sprite Zero (I had trouble finding this for some reason in Bozeman there is a Wal Mart on 7 avenue.4 Room 40 (Main Street King has the ability to be an adjourning room with the one right next to it, I'd contact the facility if bringing more than 2 people and desiring the same experience I have.Overall, great stay, well done, you made my first Montana adventure amazing!
If you visit Bozeman, MT The Lark hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It’s located within walking distance to all of the restaurants and bars on Main Street. The staff is friendly and helpful and they keep you apprised of your reservation leading up to your stay. Our room was spacious, welcoming (just missing a mini fridge), comfortable and the bathroom was huge compared to most hotel rooms. Highly recommend The Lark and Bozeman!
