Reviews summary
The restaurant offers a variety of vegan options, although some reviewers mentioned that there is no longer a dedicated vegan menu. Despite this, many items can easily be modified to be vegan. The servers are knowledgeable about vegan modifications and options. The food received mixed reviews, with some patrons enjoying their meals while others found them to be oily and greasy. The portions were also criticized by some for being small relative to the price. However, many reviewers were pleased with the vegan offerings, including options for breakfast, lunch, and drinks such as the mermaid smoothie. Overall, the restaurant seems to cater well to vegans with a decent selection of plant-based dishes.

What Marjolaine Kerluke dislikes about Nova Cafe:
I went in for lunch and it must be a very popular place because it was packed. The vegan menu was only one page split into lunch and breakfast. It was around 12:30, so I was going to order from the lunch menu, but was then told they were only serving breakfast, so that cut the options quite a bit. I ordered something that had a mix of potatoes, beans, rice, and other vegetables. What I got was a very tiny portion abs... View all feedback.

I visited this place since it was on one of those websites where they said this one being one of the top places to eat breakfast in Bozeman area. The parking was a bit limited, but after driving a couple of loops in the one way streets, I was able to find aspot to park. I was happy I did. When I first entered the restaurant, I was greeted right away and was asked if I could wait acouple minutes while they clean a table for me. A couple minutes later, I was walked to my table. There was vibrant art allaround the place from a specific artist, Color of Ashes . They were offering the art as a purchase along with the food theysell. They had other art and some menu items on the walls as well. I was provided water in their Nova blue plastic cup and amenu. It was double sided and they also had a kids menu that you could get with real crayons and color. They offered freshlysqueezed juice and many breakfast offerings you would expect to see at a breakfast restaurant. I ordered the all meat omlete for$14.95 It came with potatoes that were peppery, a choice of bread and an omlete with sausage, ham and bacon, and a littlecheese on top. The only thing I wish it had more of was cheese. I normally expect an omlete to have cheese inside but itappeared there was little to no cheese inside. The food tasted great and I was checked on to make sure everything was goingwell. Friendly staff and great food and atmosphere make this a great place to eat breakfast.
This place is a must-visit! Everything we ordered was fantastic, from the cinnamon maple latte to the massive Mama's burrito. The portions are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly!
This restaurant was fantastic! I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options available. We ordered tacos and a sandwich, both of which were delicious. The service was attentive, and our food arrived promptly. Plus, the ambiance of the place is quite charming!
The food here is incredible! It’s the best restaurant in Bozeman. The service is friendly, and the staff is excellent. I love the dishes, and the teapot and matching cups are a lovely touch. As a vegan, I appreciate the variety available, and my husband, who is not vegan and is quite particular about his food, really enjoys it too. I wish we had a place like this in Arizona. Thank you for a great experience—well done!
Very pleased that they had a dedicated vegan menu. We tried the vegan burrito and the breakfast scramble. Both were good but we felt needed more flavor just egg would be preferable, or the tofu scramble needs more seasoning, ideally some black salt. Thebeans were also under spiced and seasoned. It would also benefit from mushroom or seitan for texture.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant for breakfast, and I absolutely loved the gluten-free vegan waffle! It was incredibly light and fluffy, and I will definitely order it again. Overall...
If you find yourself in Bozeman in the morning, you simply must visit Nova. It's a favorite among the locals and hands down the best breakfast spot around!
I was so excited to return to the Nova Cafe and, although they have many delicious options, I had to get my favorite Turkey hash!! Service is always...

Outstanding food and service! As a Southerner, I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy, and I must say, Nova truly offered the best I've had in a long time.
I had a wonderful experience at Nova Café on Main Street in Bozeman, Montana, where I enjoyed breakfast. The café is vibrant and filled with colorful artwork that enhances its charm. I decided to go for a healthy option and ordered an omelette loaded with nutritious vegetables, which was absolutely tasty. The portion was generous, so you definitely won't leave feeling hungry.
Three stars. The food is excellent, especially the vegan options I've tried. While the kitchen staff does a fantastic job, the front-of-house service could use some improvement.

Great service with smiling faces! I had the Mexican Cherizo breakfast it was so good!! It was still a little spicy though even without the jalepeno's and sauce. I also got the Winter Cider and really loved it! A warm yummy cranberry and apple cider blend of goodness. I also enjoyed the artwork on the walls.
This restaurant is a must-visit! Everything we ordered was excellent, from the cinnamon maple to the giant mama's burrito. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. Additionally, the staff is extremely friendly.
While visiting my son in Montana, we stopped into this cute little diner. The atmosphere was cozy and artsy. Let's talk about tacos for a moment since that's what I ordered. They were good, don't get me wrong. However I've been a Texan for 23 years now and tacos are different down there. These tacos at Nova were tasty, but if you are from Texas and craving your usual breakfast tacos... well, they aren't here. Lol. These are a different food altogether, but I really did enjoy them. ... and sorry, no pics of the food. I ate it before thinking about snapping the photos. Truly, I don't think you'd be disappointed in the Nova experience of you are in the area. Enjoy your day!
