There were three people—a woman, a man, and a young adult—huddled under the awning who informed us that the power was out, and the manager had just departed. Th... read more There were three people—a woman, a man, and a young adult—huddled under the awning who informed us that the power was out, and the manager had just departed. They confirmed it was her truck we saw and told us we were welcome to wait in the lobby, but there was no way for us to check in or complete our reservation for the night. We were told she would not return until 2 PM the next day. Frustrated, we spent another 20 minutes in the parking lot calling other places to find accommodation. Ultimately, we had to drive an additional two hours to Dickinson, ND, arriving after 1 AM! The level of service we encountered was unacceptable, especially since we were stuck with our reservation due to the manager's departure. DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE. Ever.

However, I wish i had go... read more I really dislike writing negative reviews, and also always prefer to support properties that arenot part of a global or national chain. However, I wish i had gone to an alternative property when staying in Sidney. The check in staff was ambivilent at best, but the process was relatively smooth when he finally showed up. When I checked out there were no staff on duty as the desk is only manned from 8 am. My room, on the face of it, was clean, and the toiletries were very good quality for the sort of property the motel is. But, when opening the fridge there was soneone else's left overs still there. The coffeemaker in the room was disgusting so I did not even bother using it. The motel was generally noisy, with thin walls and loud guests probably coming in from the tap room out back. The motel allegedly offered breakfast. This amounted to a flask of cold coffee and some pre packed muffins that had literally just come out of the freezer. I went to MacDonalds instead to get a decent brew.
