Base Pizza - Bowness-on-Windermere

After renting an electric boat with a hungry 3 years old and a tired 8 months old, we have tried to find a restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately, the first restaurant we visited did not want to have children in their restaurant and always talk out. I am very glad that we decided to go down and find base pizza! they were so friendly and helpful! they helped me with the buggy and were amazing with my 3 years old, who is very hyper. our waitress was very friendly and tried to talk to my 3 years old. the pizzas were delicious! my little sat really quiet and ate all of his pizza, which shows how delicious it was. highly recommended!

Absolutely excellent meal. Lovely fresh pizza. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table but absolutely worth it. Very clean. Real trailing plants from planters hanging from ceiling. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely professional front of house service by Hanna and Flav. Highly recommended.

When I say immaculate, I say top tier. Better than any London pizza I've had but similar go Franco manca (but obviously fantastic) the cocktails are generously inexpensive and fantastic craft beer. One of the best pizzas I've ever had and great attentive service. If this place was in Manchester or London you couldn't get a table. I wish this was next to my house and I'd exclusively eat Base. I miss it.

Pleasant staff who is ready to accommodate your needs and dietary requests. We had a dinner at the Base pizza with my family and we had to order twice because of how delicious their pizza was. Excellent choice of wine and a very special atmosphere. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

Uffff..... Serious sourdough pizzas! Worth every penny. Girlfriend had the lamb which was mega (and I usually ate lamb). I had the serano ham and felt like I was back in Italy. Get a dip for the remaining crusts though. Definitely coming back.
