I loved everything about this place and highly recommended. Wear comfortable shoes as you might have to go a little way from where you park. It will be busy as you may expect to stand and wait. I've never had such amazing black cables in my life! The oysters were great, a nice selection of freshly caught decisions. I love sitting the atmosphere outside on the dock and seeing their boats and fishing equipment all arou... View all feedback.
What Yuan Liu doesn't like about Taylor shellfish farms, inc Samish Bay Farm And Store:
The oysters and shrimp are very good, but other plates are very expensive. A bowl of rice cost $5. A tiny plate for five little pieces of squid with 2 toasted baguette is $15. And, you line up in the line to order and pay directly, and I auto-selected the default 20% tip, and realized we have to clean up the plates and tables by ourselves. If so, you should have told us and don’t default your tip to that high percent... View all feedback.
I totally love this place! I make a detour hear almost every time I drive between Seattle and Bellingham/Vancouver. Awesome raw oysters and clam chowder. The smoked tinned oysters are incredible and last forever. The location is magically isolated on a boardwalk along the bay with views out to the San Juans and the big forested cliffs behind. Beer too;
Incredible oysters, crab, prawns and seafood on the rocks above the ocean. This place is a definite must see and well worth the trip from anywhere in or out of state. Absolutely incredible seafood and shellfish of so many different varieties- bring an appetite, then walk around some on the beach and then do it all over again. Absolutely love this place and we are definitely heading back and doing it together with the Saturday Bellingham Farmers market which is also so incredible.
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot after whale watching. Probably the freshest oysters I've ever had. Super friendly staff. Long line but worth the wait. Only reason I gave the service a 3 star was because you bused your own table and had fetch your own drinks and silverware. Not saying that was a bad thing at all, you just don't get waited on.
Kid-friendly: Since the restaurant is located on the beach, there are areas for children to play. However, there are not many options for kid-friendly food. Parking: The parking is on a gravel road next to the railroad tracks.
Stopped by on a sunny day and soaked in some bay views, soaking in the forest, water, and Taylor Shellfish’s great location.We ordered a mixed dozen oysters (generally the smaller ones tend to be my favorite) which were delicious. The peel and eat shrimp are sizable, offering multiple delicious bites each with that old bay style seasoning it was cooked in. The beers were good, and the caesar salad was cravable they even kept it real with the anchovy!The service was pleasant, with a pay when you order it scheme. There is also a spot inside to order seafood to go. You bus your own tables, and they bring the food to you when it’s ready. It’s a great spot to spend some time when the weather is nice outside.
