I have my reservation for the Valentines Special Chateau Briand for 2. Our reservation was for 18:45 (they are open at 17:00) as there were no previous reservations. We were told that the special was sold out! I whispered and said that the reason we came was special and the waiter went to see if it was still available. We said we had the last. I'm sorry, but if that was true that was very bad planning as they advertised this throughout the casino and sent emails and if there was only one ruse it was extremely bad judgement! The food was wonderful after the syllable was told that the special I had made my reservation was sold out.
We found the setting quite nice, and the service excellent, but the fare fell short. I ordered the swordfish, and my wife the filet mignon. Both were nice servings, and well decorated plates. It was in flavor where they fell short. With so many fine dining options available, one should strive for flavor. Do not simply prepare the food. Flavor it.
