Burgschanke Plesse - Bovenden

The Plesse Castle is stunningly beautiful! Built in 1015 and restored in 1864, Plesse Castle still proudly overlooks the village of Bovenden in the woods.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location and the staff is very friendly. However, we were disappointed to find that there were no tarts or cakes available to have with our coffee, as advertised on the internet. This was a letdown and we ended up leaving without ordering anything.

This restaurant is a lovely spot to dine and enjoy a pleasant day with the children. The view is stunning and the history behind the building is fascinating. I highly recommend it. Service: Dine-In Meal Type: Lunch

The restaurant is very busy and staff seem overwhelmed. They could possibly be more friendly.

We were with 35 people and a 2 year old child for a grieving party in the burgschänke. we were promised to eat, to roll and to cake. unfortunately the rollers were fed after a short time. it was delivered (probably we were 42 people, so were the rolls too short?! the suppe - promised at the beginning - came only after the roll feed. because only one service was there for us, the last drink came after 50 minutes. we had to pay for 37 people, even though I said twice that we were 35 people. another waiter then cried about paying the 7 people? a day like this, I was not in a fight, but a bad feeling remained in the bill. we avoid the locals in future.
