There’s a number of small restaurants along the front at Bouzigues, overlooking the oyster beds in L’Étang de Thau. La Tchepe is one of the more rustic of the restaurants, but delivers hugely on fresh, local ingredients. What Sabine Gay doesn't like about La Tchepe:
This restaurant is in the little harbour of Bouzigues. Dammage the is no sea view. The are parking places just in front. It is a basic rstaurant. Price is prior than the quality. View all feedback.
The bestest, freshest sea food you’ll find anywhere. It literally comes off their oyster beds and put straight on your plate. No frills, just straight up good food, service is efficient, try smiling and they will smile back. Superb place, I dream about it every Sunday morning.
Having been staying in the beautiful Bouzigues for 11 days , the restaurants and service has been delicious , warm and very welcoming . My French is ok , but when the waitress at this restaurant spoke to me I misheard one word which would of told me that i has to order inside . After 5-10 minutes we asked for a menu for which the woman rudely replied we must order inside , I apologised in not understanding her at first , but she just rolled her eyes at me and left, so we did the same and had a great seafood lunch at the A La Voile Blanche instead. There is rude French but then there is **** rude French , the latter I won’t tolerate. I’ll Certainly return to this wonderful , beautiful town again , just not this restaurant .
La Tchepe is probably the most direct from the sea to the consumer restaurant in the area. If you dont mind the almost non existant décor , if you want to have sea food, local wine and nothing else, this is the place to go. Prices are reasonnable, service is fast and efficient and, above all, the quality of the products is outsanding. Do not arrive too late, it is always full..
Using Tripadvisor, we chose this establishment from the many in Bouzigues that were offering oysters we were lucky in that it was a warm and sunny day when we could also enjoy the view across the etang; we enjoyed a very relaxed meal when we shared the special plate which was based around some delicious oysters and included a bottle of excellent Picpoul . The service was friendly, being brought some water for our dog on arrival without being asked we will certainly visit again. It was a little confusing as that there are two restaurants with similar names La Tchepe and Chez la Tchepe on the Tripadvisor website please note that they are the same place. They should be listed together to avoid confusion.

Plus, big ice creams for dessert.
