This will be our last visit to this fish and chip shop. Since new owners have taken over, it has gone downhill. They are rude and arrogant to both their staff and customers. We have no complaints about the staff, only sympathy. We stopped in for a couple of large portions of chips and were told that they don't just do chips, so we would have to wait at least 20 minutes. Superb food, cooked fresh and served by kind, honest fryers. Absolutely the best chippy in the BH6/7 area. Overtaken *that* place by a country mile on service alone. Highly recommended

Stopped by the Pokesdown Chippy for a bag of chips last week, and I was amazed by how clean the place was! Brilliant! And the owner was so proud of how much elbow-grease he had put into the place and the plans he has for it. Such a great soul. And the chips didn't disappoint, either!
