Was Rebekah F at Mandarin a mag?
Honestly, I'm not usually a fan of Chinese cuisine, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations! We started with potstickers (6 per order), and they were incredibly juicy and served hot. They came with a delicious sweet and savory dipping sauce that everyone enjoyed! The cashew chicken, coconut Thai curry, and fried noodles were all fantastic! The portion sizes were generous enough to share between two people, but i... View all feedback.
What Lisa B dislikes about Mandarin:
We have gone to the Mandarin twice. Some people love the food. Personally, it's just okay. I wouldn't go there again, except for the atmosphere and being with friends. I can't say exactly what it is about the food that turns me off, but the lemon chicken did not taste like lemon and the sweet and sour chicken didn't taste like any sweet and sour I've ever tasted. I grew up in going to Mandarin, so I'm no doubt a little biased, but I've never found a Chinese restaurant that I like more. The 5 Taste Shrimp is incredible. We love the chicken chow mein with soft noodles and the cashew chicken. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish. If anyone knows of a better Chinese restaurant, I'd love to try it.
We were very pleasantly surprised with their gluten-free menu and the care they took to make sure we were served gluten-free. And it was delicious. The regular menu items were delicious as well. We had a reservation and that got us in quickly and easily. I recommend doing that.
Every bite is sensational! Orange peel chicken is my favorite. They always will be our favorite
Great local family run restaurant. Great food, lots of options, good food gluten free selection. I recommend the gluten free pepper chicken.
