Boulder Beer
Boulder Beer
Description
Reopened under new ownership, BBB offers solid casual fare—standout walleye, pizza and legendary cheese curds—at wallet-friendly $10–$20 prices. A full bar and ample free parking add convenience, and many praise attentive staff and quick lunches. Service and food consistency vary, however; some diners report inattentive servers, slow seating, noisy dining (slamming door) and uneven side prep. With minor service and ambiance improvements, this Boulder Junction spot has local-favorite potential.

I visited this restaurant for lunch, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was very good, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed, so I would give that a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere was pleasant as well, rated at 4, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. One of the highlights was the ample parking available—there were plenty of spaces, and the free parking lot made it convenient to visit. Overall, for a price of $10–20 per person, I would definitely recommend this spot for a satisfying lunch!
The walleye was decent, but the pizza was definitely the standout choice. The atmosphere was quite noisy, with a door that kept slamming. For dinner, the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. As for the ratings: Food: 4, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 3.
Kudos to the new owners! This is some of the best fish fry we've enjoyed in all of Vilas County. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5
This place is fantastic, especially the bartenders and the chicken and rice soup!
