Boulder Dam
Boulder Dam
Description
Tucked into a charming town, this bistro impresses with creative, comfort-driven dishes — standout pork chop, stuffed French toast, burgers and perfectly poached eggs — and earnest, friendly service. Vintage decor and a quieter dining room make it a tempting date-night or brunch destination, though a confused interior styling and occasional slow or inconsistent kitchen service (oily batter, missed modifications) temper the praise. Coffee is reliably good and the kitchen shows obvious passion; expect high prices for mostly excellent, sometimes uneven plates.

We’ve visited this restaurant several times before and have always received good service, but today was different. We had a 40-minute wait for our food. When our order arrived, it included an item we had requested to exclude. Additionally, the fish batter was excessively oily. Our waitress only checked on us when we were nearly finished with our meal.
We arrived at 1:30 PM knowing the restaurant closed at 2 PM, but they seated us promptly and greeted us with lovely hospitality. I was really taken with the vintage decor, complete with charming lamps and detailed molding. The food was outstanding! I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger, and I appreciated that the server asked how I’d like it cooked – a nice personal touch! The sauce was incredible, and the sweet potato fries were delicious as always. My friend opted for the vegetarian omelette, which was packed with fresh veggies and had exceptional eggs. The mama's fries were also a highlight, perfectly seasoned. Thank you so much for accommodating us so close to closing time and for the top-notch food!
This restaurant has a unique atmosphere that's far from ordinary. The food is excellent, and the service is commendable. Plus, the charming town adds to the experience.
A hidden diamond. The food was amazing. The stuffed French toast was sweet but not overbearing. The veggie omelet had super fresh veggies and the pancakes were fluffy. Service was fast and friendly. Loved it!
I don't understand the high rating here. The service was fine, the location is nice, but the food is absolutely not 5*.Was the food terrible? No. But it also wasn't worth a second visit. I got chicken and waffles. Frozen chicken tenders on top of a slightly overcooked waffle. My wife got biscuits and gravy, which was OK (bland gravy and unseasoned hash browns).Everything was edible, but nothing that I would have expected from the very high google reviews for the place. On a positive note, the coffee was good and the service was friendly
