I mentioned to the owner about old photos of the train station from years ago. You can find some on the Disused Stations website. Unfortunately, I can't provide the link here due to Trip Advisor rules, but you should be able to find it easily by searching on Google.

There is a large car park here so could accommodate plenty of cars, coaches and lorries. The cafe is clean and we’ve always found the staff friendly. We both ordered the station special which was priced at £5.90 which consisted of 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon, hash brown, fried bread, beans, tomatoes and a drink. We also added mushrooms which were an additional 90p. They do a few different options and also serve hot dinners/burgers/sandwiches but we’ve not tried anything other than breakfasts.

Nothing fancy just a great breakfast with fried bread of all things, no fancy coffee just a good cup of coffee and a mug of tea. Staff very friendly,obliging and competent. Would recommend to anybody passing through.

The bacon in my sandwich was... read more Disorganized service from inexperienced employees. Had to leave because dogs aren't allowed inside, but there was no clear signage. The bacon in my sandwich was poorly arranged in the middle with margarine. The coffee was so bad that I had to throw it away and find a better cup elsewhere. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
