Captain Cod - Feedback

Was SimonSi at Captain Cod a mag?
I would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could! They have a fantastic selection of vegan options, including imitation burgers, sausages, and fish. All vegan dishes are prepared separately from the meat options on the menu. You can choose to dine in the cozy sit-down area inside or take your food to go. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.
What VeganKiwi dislikes about Captain Cod:
It's wonderful to have a large selection of vegan options on the menu, but the portion sizes are excessive and wasteful. The food, including the chips, lacked flavor. The wait time was longer than expected and there was no warning given. Unfortunately, I would not return to this restaurant. View all feedback.

We had the pleasure to discover Captain cod last night. there is a large number of vegan options, all freshly prepared and cooked to order. the teig was crunchy and improves the taste of the food we ordered. the it area is bright, airy and very clean. all staff were very friendly and helpful. just before we left how they ended, we have observed a demonstration of such courtesy and geduld towards a customer who entered into a drunken state, the situation with penetrating skills and gnade managed, highly recommended these food for there food and their friendly professionalism.
That is exactly what you would expect to be an in-house experience in the style of Chippy/Kanteen. cheap and cheerful. they have an extensive vegan menu and the personal was really very friendly and efficient. spoiler alarm: if you ask yourself what aspen chips are, they are covered in a ground chips with a delicious garlic of truffle oil. absolutely amazing. the menu includes scattered sausages, burger (bef, huh and sausages), banana blossom fish and pukka pies. the portions are super big! probably no need to order additional chips with their cappy burger (burger in a chip-butty).
For the first time I have eaten vegan “fish and chips” and the chips were also not cooked vegan in the fish pan. delicious reasonable price was immaculate - I wish to live closer!
Loads of vegan options with massive portions. I took some banana blossom coddish' home with me to eat later. Onion rings are delicious, huge and homemade. Can sit in or out. Amazing vegan milkshakes too yum! We paid £25 for 2 vegan milkshakes, 2 coddish and regular chips, fried jackfruit and a portion of onion rings.
Captain Cod impresses with a vast array of vegan options, from banana blossom coddish to crispy fried jackfruit and delicious homemade onion rings. While the portions are generous—often leaving diners with leftovers—the food quality can be inconsistent, with some dishes lacking flavor. The dining area is clean and welcoming, complemented by friendly and efficient staff. Guests rave about unique items like chips drizzled in garlic truffle oil and the ambiance that reflects a classic chippy experience. Although some noted longer wait times, overall, Captain Cod promises an enjoyable outing for vegan food enthusiasts.

There are plenty of options to choose from, everything is delicious, and the vegan chocolate milkshake was absolutely heavenly!
Brilliant to have so many vegan options: banana blossom coddish, southern fried jackfruit, vegan sausages and burgers, and the list goes on. I opted for the vegan battered sausages which were very nice and my wife had the banana blossom coddish which she very much enjoyed. They even did a vegan curry sauce! We had the pleasure of discovering Captain Cod yesterday evening. There are a great number of vegan choices available, all freshly prepared and cooked to order. The batter was crisp and enhanced the flavour of the food we we ordered. The dining area is bright, airy and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Just before we left, as they were closing we observed a demonstration of such courtesy and patience toward a customer who entered in a drunken state, managing the situation with assertive skill and grace, Highly recommend this eatery for there food and their friendly professionalism.
