Contribute FeedbackRebel's Guild offers a blend of experiences for diners, ranging from delightful to disappointing. While some patrons rave about the delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, others lament cold dishes, unfulfilled menu items, and slow service. Highlights include flavorful salmon and well-prepared appetizers, enjoyed in a pleasant ambiance. However, issues like outdated menus, staffing challenges, and lackluster dishes have left some guests frustrated. Ultimately, while many recommend the restaurant for its strengths, potential visitors are advised to check menu availability and be prepared for variable service. An intriguing spot that may require patience.
The service was fine, but the food was unusable. I saw, smelled and tasted like cat food. I took a bite and couldn't keep pushing.
Great food and great mixed drinks, but be patient at the bar. I have two drinks in an hour and it wasn't busy. 20 minutes after they had opened and one of four people was in place for an hour. Are you definitely going anywhere when you are? I'm looking for a funny night. I wanted to pick up, but still terrible service at the bar.
My friend and I were here for the weekend and decided to give this restaurant an attempt despite its 3.9 (on some pages 2.5 rating. She first ordered a glass of wine that never materialized together with our server, so she asked the first server she saw to delete the wine and change it for a coke. The server came back with the coke and apologized. She ordered the duck and I ordered the Korean short ribs. It took an hour to get our food. We were so hungry that we would have asked if we had bread in the meantime. She said they had no bread. Well, another server came by and we asked for bread, and lo and behold, he made it happen. (We tipped him out on the way out. Now about the food. My friend Ente was good, except there were no potatoes as our server had indicated, but since it was not in the description of the plate, she said nothing. There was nothing Korean about my ribs. I know because I did it last week! Me? The Cuban descent, and the dish I got was?carne con papas? (meat and potatoes). That's a badge! This restaurant has potential, it only needs better administration and training.
Excellent concept with a revolutionary war meets Steampunk Vibe. The menu is somewhat minimal, but plays on strengths with a bacon egg and cheeseburger, for dying, duck that my wife loved and a quick look at the menu shows a handful of seafood options. The star of the show was the skillful baked maize bread with honey butter and blueberries on the app menu. The place would be a 5 star for me, except our waiter, who was super attentive by sitting through the Entrées, donated us before the check. We have the advantage of the doubt that he might have taken a break, but about 20 minutes wait, we had to ask another employee for our check. Our original waiter came shortly after and gave us a slip without a pen and disappeared again. I brought the slip to the bartender to pay off and then dipped. Everything went great until the check-Fiasco. When I'm back in Boston, I will definitely give them another chance as the majority of the experience was Top Notch, but for a first impression I was a little down.
Would rate zero stars if I could, the service was terrible, we sat at the bar, and ordered water and 2 mimosas. Bartender brought the water but it took a good 10 minutes to get the drinks, and they were not busy. We got our food, had to get silverware from another table because we never got any. We wanted a few condiments, but never saw her again to ask for any. I had the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and smoked salmon. The few bites I had were good, but then I found a piece of wax paper in my sandwich.
