Really good place to take your girlfriends parents, or a date, or anytime really. The food is delicious and fairly priced, the service is lovely, the ambiance is trendy, and the location cant be beat. The sushi is very fresh so you gotta check this placeout. 10/10 would recommend! What Ryan Stratford dislikes about Purple Shell:
My favorite sushi in the area and a great place to go for lunch/ dinner. Their delivery services need some work though. I’ve ordered out a few times and just about every single time there’s an item missing. It’s never missing the main dish thankfully, but they’ll consistently forget the items like spicy mayo, the side of rice, soy sauce, etc. View all feedback.

Great place for sushi but docking a point for service. My takeout experience has always been smooth, orders are always right and mostly on time. Dined in recently and maybe it was just a slower night, but it was extremely difficult having to get any the attention of any waiter/waitress. They finally asked for our drink order 30 min after we sat down, but only because we went to the host stand to ask. Service was still slow after that but it did improve. The food is really good but I don't think I'll dine-in again. Sashimi: 4/5Salmon Lover: 5/5Sushi Special: 4/5Torched Salmon Press: 5/5Volcano Maki: 4/5Gao's Chicken: 4/5

This was a date night location- nice quality sushi and decor but since we dined during a non peak hour I believe we probably missed out on atmosphere as it was pretty quiet and nearly empty when we dined. Very nice service for sure, but it has a bit of a barren quality when the dining areas are not full- wish they could add some kind of warmth or texture to the restaurant decor to make it feel less sterile. Sushi quality was indeed indeed good and we also had the uni shots. We used a parking app and parked at the Cambria hotel valet which was super convenient across the street, there are cheaper options but a further walk away.

Absolutely horrible they did not take my call my uber eats they gave me one Singular shrimp. I tried to call them many times they did not answer me once. They don’t care. If they don’t respect customers don’t respect them. It’s a 3 hour wait FOR WHAT. Just don’t

Glad this place got rid of the weird nightclub vibes. I only do pickups now, but how difficult is it to mess that up too? I arrive at the restaurant and after a waiter watches me stand at one end of the restaurant for 5 minutes, he tells me to go to the front of the restaurant. Then, I tell the girl at the front my name, and she doesn’t check the food that’s already next to her and says the waiter is going to go get it and disappears. Uhh, when did you guys have the chance to communicate that because he doesn’t know my name? She comes back and I have to ask her to take a look at the orders next to her before she reluctantly says one of them is mine. No sorry for making you wait or whatever. Quality in service is way different from when this place opened doors. Don’t recommend. Owners need to come back to run the show. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
