Suggested by a local North End resident as a one of the best long time family Italian Restaurant in the area. She was right. Great atmosphere, super friendly and inviting staff. Food was hot and fresh and very delicious. Try the shrimp scampi, the sauce was amazing! View all feedback.
What Gabriella doesn't like about L'Osteria.:
Absolutely would NOT recommend, even if it’s the only place w/ reservations open in the North End (it’s not filled for a reason! It was mediocre Italian food at best- not even close in quality to other restaurants that I’ve been to in the North End. Broccoli Dorati was probably the worst and was literally burnt. Server was unfriendly and fed up. Service was also super SLOW; it took over 45 minutes to get our food aft... View all feedback.
The food here is absolutely fantastic. We go here all the time. Food is great, service is great. Go early to beat the crowds. Fantastic food will continue to go back. If you gave it a poor review, you’ve got not idea what great Italian food is.Food: 5/5
Super delicious food, no wait outside time, amazing service and friendly staff. Definitely recommended lasagna and pasta with bolognese!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free pasta is available
Best manicotti I've ever had outside of Italy. Every dish our family ordered was delicious. They fit us in right before closing, and gave us good service. The ambient noise made it difficult to carry on a conversation, but it was worth it. I highly recommend enjoying a meal thereFood: 5/5
I was walking around the North End with my mother with no intentions of eating at any specific place. We found L'Osteria by chance and I'm very glad we did. It seems like just an average restaurant with some touristy looks to it but the food is where they shine the brightest. I'm not sure if these are family recipes or what but they are delicious and the portions are extremely generous. We got the stuffed mushrooms and while the mushrooms were ok, it was the sauce that added the kick they needed to soar. I wish the waitress would have told us to drizzle the sauce on them before we were already halfway done but I'm glad we thought outside of the box and did. The carbonara was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of sharpness from the cheeses but the creaminess from the egg and cream. Savory from the guanchale made everything sit in harmony. Definitely a place I will visit again just to see how the other dishes are presented.
Still sitting here waiting for our bill. Service was horrible. No prosciutto in the antipasto???? Sauce was bland. Dessert came out of a box. I’ll pass on by next time. Nice reply for a restaurant owner. I wasn’t complaining about your malfunctioned cash register. It was your food and service that I was not satisfied with.Food: 2/5
