Equal Measure is an exceptional cocktail bar in the city, featuring a lively yet intimate atmosphere that is ideal for a night out with friends. The soft lighting, comfortable seating, and vibrant ambiance create a stylish yet inviting space, perfect for enjoying relaxed conversations over drinks. I visited on a Friday night with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by how easily I secured an 8:30 PM reservation that same morning. The service was prompt, and the inventive cocktails were truly memorable. I tried two drinks: the Gracias Gazpacho and the Oopsie Daisy. The Gracias Gazpacho had a unique flavor profile, with salty and floral notes reminiscent of traditional gazpacho. While I enjoyed it, I would have liked a bolder kick from the cilantro serrano oil to improve the balance. On the other hand, the Oopsie Daisy was sweet and incredibly delicious—the combination of crème de cacao and honey-infused cognac complemented each other wonderfully, creating a rich complexity in the drink. Overall, Equal Measure is a fantastic option for those seeking uniquely crafted cocktails in a stylish environment. While a few flavor aspects could be refined, the innovative menu and welcoming atmosphere make it a place I would gladly revisit. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Equal Measure is a decent cocktail bar in Boston, but I’m not sure how much that really means. The drinks were satisfactory and reasonably well-balanced, and the staff was approachable. However, the cocktail names were more creative than the beverages themselves. The atmosphere felt ordinary and lacked any distinctive charm. Additionally, the cushioned seating had noticeable stains, and some finer details appeared to be neglected. While there’s room for improvement, the overall experience came off as typical for a cocktail bar. If that’s what you’re looking for, you likely won’t be let down. Nevertheless, it’s not a place I would go out of my way to revisit, as similar spots can be found in almost any major city. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Equal Measure offers a charming atmosphere and an aesthetically pleasing setting. Although the drinks we tried left something to be desired, they were far from terrible. The waitress appeared more focused on conversing with her coworkers than attending to tables, and the clientele was a diverse blend. If you’re over 40 and looking to recapture the spirit of your younger days, this could be the place for you. For others, be ready to invest a good amount of time in people-watching while navigating a rather average menu. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
