I had to stay in the area for two and a half hours on a rainy day, so I decided to walk into this bar and order some drinks and food. The two bartenders were completely unfriendly toward me — they didn’t even smile. Meanwhile, they were smiling and chatting with other customers sitting right next to me, asking them if they wanted more drinks or food. But when my water and drink were empty, they didn’t even glance at me. Every time I tried to speak to order something, they would walk away. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome — in a way I’ve never experienced before. I thought that being close to a good college in Boston would mean they were used to meeting all kinds of people and would be more friendly, but I was wrong. This bar might be great for you if you’re white. But if you’re a person of color, it’s a nightmare. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our dinner choices, which included burgers and French cuisine.
