The owner was solid, the bar tenders were quick and the support staff was professional. The crowd was college aged and it was highly entertaining. Good music, fast beers and solid pricing. Floors were trashed and sticky, but based on the pours and the crowd, it was expected.Glad we stopped in View all feedback.
What Viola Kovács doesn't like about Coogan's:
The beer and everything else was great, but the music was way too loud—almost painfully loud! It's not even a dance club, yet the volume was that high. I’m not sure if they wanted everyone to leave quickly, but there are better ways to do that. The music was just overwhelming! My ears are still hurting. We even had to use sign language to talk to my friends sitting right next to me! View all feedback.
Stopped in on a Thursday night. Place was 99% dudes. Nary a woman in sight. Immediately left and went to Mr. Dooley's. 100% better.
Thank god this place survived the pandemic. I haven't been here in years but it's reassuring to know this place is still selling bud light for less than the cost of a bottle of water. If you're looking to get hammered on a budget in an unwelcoming environment, look no further than Coogan's.
Awesome St. Patrick’s Day experience! It was an absolute blast and it made for a really great end to our night out
This place is pretty cool, 1 dollar bud light some good pours. Food is good, bartenders and security are so nice. I had the poutine and clam chowder, honestly the best I've had so far so Totally made my night. Most definitely if you are in the area and looking for a drinking spot. This is the place
Great neighborhood bar. My only concern was where we sat it was very loud from the conversation going on around us. We had to speak to each other as if a live band was playing near us.
