I went for dinner here with a few friends and was positively impressed by the food. The corn tortillas are not made in house but just commercial ones, which was a bit disappointing, but the fajitas were really great and the spicy habanero sauce they have is a must try if you like hardcore spicy sauces. What Maria Kamilli doesn't like about Casa Romero:
The food was not anything special and the service took forever. They tried to upcharge us on everything, charging us more than what was on the menu. Most of us split meals and had one round of drinks, and the total was almost $300 ?? because of the upcharging. They also told us some drinks were on the house for one of my friend's birthday, and proceeded to get charged nearly $100 simply for that. Don't even get me st... View all feedback.
The entrance is in an alley but this place is amazing! Really great flavors and definitely the atmosphere is top notch. The food is delicious, priced decently, staff friendly and courteous. The drinks are amazing too. 10/10 would recommend!
Great food and an amazing ambience! Must try their drinks and dessert!
We loved having dinner here. We ordered chips, salsa, guacamole, pozole, and chicken enchiladas. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.
I had an amazing experience coming to this place. i loved the food. mariachis singing, this is a real Mexican restaurant.. def i would recommend this place for anyone and the prices are good. tasty drinks . i love the tacos .
Hold onto your wallet in this place. It seemed very nice upon our arrival. We were told that because we didn 't have a reservation, we had to be out of there within an hour and a half. We could work with that. The server asked if we wanted an appetizer and we asked for guacamole which arrived with chips and salsa. For fifteen dollars, we received about two tablespoons of guacamole served on a piece of lettuce. They had a bar menu listing several specialty margaritas for eighteen dollars apiece. We opted for a nothing fancy house margarita which came in a tiny glass. We actually each had two and didn 't realize till later that those margaritas were twenty two dollars apiece. Quite the rip off. The restaurant tacked on an additional charge for a 'kitchen appreciation ' which was certainly not voluntary. We had two twenty dollar entrees which were good but not worthy of Bon Appetit. I foolishly left a 25% tip not realizing what the bill was which effectively added another twenty two dollars for the overpriced margaritas. All told, our two drinks apiece and twenty dollar entrees with tip cost us just over $200. Do yourself a favor and go to Lolitas down the street instead.
