What Jay Stracke likes about Cafe Pompeii:
We booked at Scopa because the picture on Open Table had a variety of Italian food, such as pasta, soup, etc. We were disappointed to find out they changed their menu after Covid to appetizers, pizza, and drinks only. Food was good, but the service felt like they were really busy even though they didn’t seem to actually be that busy. Server seemed really exhausted and fed up with everyone – maybe she worked a long shift. Took a while to get our food and had to remind them about our pizza. Pretty small menu (just apps and pizza) but the food was good. View all feedback.

read moreThe reviews for the restaurant indicate that while the food is good, the service can be hit or miss with some describing the servers as exhausted and the wait times as longer than expected. The noise level on Hanover Street is noted as a major issue, detracting from the overall ambiance. However, many enjoyed the fresh and delicious appetizers and wood oven fired pizza, praising the attentive service. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant was appreciated by some, although the limited menu selection was a drawback for others. Overall, the consensus seems to be that while the food and service are generally good, the noise level and limited menu options may impact the overall dining experience.
