Great little dinner spot in Back Bay! Their decor is amazingly lavish and makes for a wonderful date spot. The food was also so delicious with the highlight being the Bao Buns. Make sure to check out this place for great drinks and food!
My order: -Spring rolls (happy hour) -Fried Chicken Bao -Okonomiyaki Fries -Dan Dan Noodles -Soto Sake -Paloma We sat outside, which was wonderful. The Paloma was okay (we were just glad they could make another tequila drink). But the sake was very good! (I always go with a Junmai Daiginjo). The spring rolls were super tasty and not too much food for an app (5 rolls). Out of the Baos, I believe you can’t go wrong with the Fried Chicken: crispy, good sauce, fluffy buns, and the pickle perfectly brought it all together. The Okonomiyaki fries were very fun! Great app for the table. But the Dan Dan Noodles took the cake! If there is anything on the menu that you must try, it’s the noodles. Great, great job. And paying with the QR code was super quick and easy! Loved the experience!
I've been waiting to return to some ambiance with my meals. I specifically went to Banyan for this, to sit under the Japanese blossoms and enjoy a bar that sits under a sea of pink flamingos. I was pleasantly surprised that the food and service was beyond my expectations. The miso ceasar should live year round in my fridge and the ramen was a perfect warm indulgence after walking all day in the cold. The server even split the ramen into two bowls so I could enjoy mine mild while my partner wanted it spicy!
Food is excellent! Atmosphere both inside and out is equally excellent. We got the avocado bao, coconut calamari, and the sweet potato croquettes. All 3 items were super tasty. Also got the painkiller and wildfire drinks which were both good, but I wished they were bigger and/or more liquor. Everything came out to be like $75+tip. Be prepared to spend a bit here!
The ambiance is uniquely artistic, with birds nests and tree branches coming from the light fixtures. I loved the food, particularly the avocado bao. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.
