I really liked this place. Our server was friendly and helpful. I took my kid here on the way to the Franklin Park Zoo and this was a fun alternative to all those boba places that kids like. The drinks looked beautiful and unique. I don’t like sweet drinks too much so I just had an iced coffee. My kid’s drink was coconut water based and had excellent flavor. I’d definitely stop again and try an avocado smoothie. View all feedback.
What Christine C doesn't like about Bambu Desserts Drinks:
I was so excited that this location existed after visiting the location in Lowell but this location was a HUGE disappointment. The lack of customers going in on a saturday should have been my red flag. The aesthetics of the place was pretty in comparison to its sister location. However, the che was so bland...we got a bean combo, avocado smash, and jackfruit and all three had no flavor. For its price, it was not wort... View all feedback.
So this is my second time going there, first time I got a smoothie. It was not good at all. It had no flavor it was just water and really thick. This time I decided to get a salted caramel frappe, to see if any improvements. Well it had no taste and after a couple sips, it turned very thick, I couldn?t even sip it through the straw. Texture was terrible, look at the pictures. I wouldn?t recommend it unless you are trying to waste money for fun.
The drinks are a hit or miss. The place is pretty small. Service was fine. We got the Bambu Refresher and the real Fruit n basil seed tea. Bambu Refresher was decent. I wasn't a fan of the texture and favor. The Fruit basil seed tea on the other hand was phenomenal. It was very favorful. The strawberry and peach were perfect in it. Next time, I will just stick with the mangonada. It hasn't disappointed me yet
Totally different combinations from other tea houses. Loved the uniqueness of their flavors and how creative they get with their drinks. We always make sure we stop by when in the area??
Just bought Smashed Avocado and the #10 not even five minutes ago. Hardly any sweetness in the Smashed Avocado and the #10 was all watery, no ice though. Found hair in my avocado (my hair is much longer and darker) and red tapioca tastes as if spoiled. Maybe stop chatting so much and the back and actually make the drink right? I like this place but even though it?s first time this has happened to me here it?s really gross. It shouldn?t have even happened.
Kinda frustrated that I ordered a milk tea with tapioca pearls and they reneged to mention that they had run out of big straws until it was done and paid for kinda ruins the premise to fish around in there for slippery little tapioca balls. The taro tea and pearls had an off taste as well, like freezer burn and preservatives respectively. I've been before and had their che and it's better, enjoyed the basil seeds and tea but there was just too much cloyingly sweet grass jelly, couldn't finish it. Staff is polite and the establishment is tidy and comfy feeling, but just feels like they really need to restock and standardize.
