What Adrian Cronin doesn't like about 1855 La voile wine:
We booked on OpenTable for LaVoile but because of confusion between that, and it’s upstairs wine bar, which OpenTable made to look like the same thing (Bar a Vin is less formal and “tighter” it was the upstairs wine bar or nothing, so that’s the last time I will ever book on OpenTable for anything. Service was very well done, however, and the food was good, but since it was a special occasion for us, we were disappoi... View all feedback. What OpenTable Diner likes about 1855 La voile wine:
Absolute perfection! In our opinion the best restaurant experience in Boston…a real French Bistro. We stopped in for lunch and had a marvelous white wine, fromage plate and my husband and I both had the lightest most delicious Dover Sole perfectly sautéed in caper butter and deboned table side. Topped off by superb vanilla ice cream topped with espresso. Can’t recommend La Voile enough. Indoor and outdoor cafe seatin... View all feedback.

read moreLaVoile restaurant offers delicious food and a lovely dining experience, but OpenTable reservations may lead to confusion. Despite good service, a disappointing situation arose when guests were seated in the upstairs wine bar instead of the main restaurant. On the other hand, a different eatery featuring authentic Mexican cuisine impressed with made-to-order dishes and unique flavors. A newly-established friendship was celebrated at a French restaurant, where each person was pleased with their meal selections. Although the atmosphere at another establishment was well-liked, the lengthy wait time for food during a Valentine's Day visit left patrons dissatisfied.
This is one of the few restaurants that I would give a six star rating to. The lamb and the duck were exquisitely prepared, The service was exemplary.Food: 5/5
