This is a small restaurant run by a couple who really like food presentation and preparation. Mark is the chef, who speaks very good English, and explains to you each dish. They had 2 “tasting menus” which included a giant platter of local thin sliced meats, a first course, a second course and a dessert. All made with great care and with a great presentation. They also had a la cartel items. Mary tends to the tables and guests and is very cordial. Mark makes frequent appearances to explain the dishes he prepared although the menu is in English. The desserts were all hand made there. The tangerine sorbet was amazing as were all the desserts. He also brings you a couple of surprises during the meal. Bring a hearty appetite! Our cost for the four course tasting menu was €50 which seemed very reasonable. They are extremely accommodating and said they were closed the next day, but if we wanted to come they would open! Make a reservation and make sure they are open.

We were welcomed even though we arrived late on a Friday night when the couple (Mary and her partner, who own and manage the restaurant hadn’t had any guest and were about to close... we had a great time, the food was good even though, if I can say, was lacking some salt... but probably on purpose, to better taste the real flavor of the accurately selected products.. Despite being from Emilia (where the pasta fresca is a tradition and we make it very thin , we really much appreciated the thick ones made by Mary, with 20 “selva” eggs (please note that the pasta is not yellow, because these chickens are not fed with curcuma... . Mary is a character...the night’s turnout was hilarious and we absolutely recommend the place!
