A truly wonderful culinary experience, enlivened with delightful surprises. I highly recommend it.
Wow I love this restaurant so much. The creativity, taste, matching with wine is top class. Of course the dishes were beyond delicious but I loved the hospitality in which we were welcomed with. My mother had a happy last-day-in-Bordeaux-dinner thanks to Restaurant Son. Merci!!!
On our trip, we were looking for something special for this day, and Google led us to Son'. It completely exceeded our expectations. The service was wonderful, in our language, friendly, and very polite. The menu surprised us with every dish (I admire the chef's imagination), everything was delicious, and the presentation was impeccable. This is a restaurant that will stay in our memories for years to come. And not only that, they had a lovely little touch for us: they gave my mother a rose for her birthday. I wouldn't hesitate to return. All five of us left absolutely delighted. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
Personally I enjoyed it. The dishes were very original, a real search for flavors, well balanced. The presentation is neat and also original. The food and wine pairing was very good, and in perfect harmony with the dishes, it was also a good surprise for me. We were a couple, it was particularly suitable for a romantic dinner. The service is very professional. If you are looking for an original and delicious culinary experience, don't hesitate.
Excellent lunch meal. One of the best value for money pleasures that we have had the chance to experience. Delicious mackerel as a starter, magnificent julienne at low temperature as a main course with dry ink risoni, and a sublime trompe l'oeil dessert. 25 euros. And the Sancerre to accompany it was perfect. The welcome is of a very high level. This restaurant will have a star soon we hope. Well done to you.

We have no words for that restaurant! Everything was excellent! Friendly stuff, amazing food, great atmosphere!!
This could have been a five out of five. It should have been. The food is spectacular. Truly. The staf is friendly, the place is nicely decorated. Then a few cracks appeared. Our bottle of wine wasn't in a cooler at the table. It was put back in the fridge behind the bar. Then forgotten until we asked about it. A few times. Keep in mind there were only three tables occupied. Then the bill comes, without having asked for it. Strange. Staff obviously wanted to go home. But we weren't particularly late, and the food came in a steady pace. Then the cleaner started doing her thing. Hoovering the place with the loudest hoover in the world. While we are finishing our wine and waiting for our taxi. Which only took 10 minutes. Then the floor mopping started. While we are at the table. If the food wasn't so fantastic this would lose at least two stars, But I'm being generous because the food was great. Really disappointing end to a great evening. Fix this guy's, you are charging enough to keep the cleaners at bay for 15 minutes.
Absolutely amazing experience! Not a meal an EXPERIENCE. It's artistic. It's exploding with flavors. The service is 10/10. This was a dream come true dinner for my wife and I. Highly recommend. They have a set menu of 5 courses, but they worked around 1 minor allergy for us. Incredible. Merci Son' !!!
This has to be one of the most memorable meals of my life, where the exquisite food (and interesting, perfect wine pairings) actually lives up to the theatre and staging of the presentation. We found ourselves comparing the meal to the Michelin starred Frog by Adam Harding in London, although Son is much cheaper! To be honest, the experience is a masterpiece by a hugely talented, charming, and understated chef who heads up a young dynamic team who deliver the whole ensemble with a sense of fun and without pretentiousness. The food was a fantastic combination of flavors. It’s a preset menu 7 courses for 55 euro. You will not walk away hungry. The service is also very good and very attentive. The chef came out to deliver desert and make sure we enjoyed everything.

Such an incredible dinner! Every course of the fixed menu blew our minds away! Each one was very complex in ingredients/ taste and artfully put together. I’ve been to a number of Michelin star restaurants who don’t even compare! The service was impeccable and the design aesthetics of this place remarkable. Pricing was also very reasonable and serving sizes were a nice surprise, very fulfilling! At the age of 59, I can honestly say this was the most impressive dinner out that I’ve had! Wow!
3 words: In cred ible! Or as the French told us: in croy able! My friend (who’s a foodie and wine maestro) took me to lunch at Son’ last summer. I was blown away and so was he. The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was a culinary delight. Our waiter recommended wine that paired excellent with our meals. We finished with the cheese plate and then came the “surprise dessert”. WOW what a finish. For days we were both raving about the experience, the ambiance and the service, so of course we had to go back. And it was yet again another divine meal. Thank you, merci, and until next summer!
Such a pleasant surprise! Friendly staff, food was SO GOOD. Tried some pasta that I haven’t had before and they were cooked to perfection. So chewy!! Interesting interior with different shapes of wooden tables. There is only one 5-course menu for dinner. Make sure you book in advance, especially during Spring and Summer!
Simply gastronomy delivered at it's highest standard from chef Sylvain. Not only this the attendance under the guidence of the fabulous Henri and setting with love edge wood tables act in perfect harmony with the exquisite culinary experience. Five stars will remain an understatement for this beautiful restaurant.
Good meal overall and exceptional service. The hibiscus foam as part of my fish dish was superb and a fresh new taste, yet my fish was over cooked and the taste of my husband’s meat was average. We came for the lunch menu and it was quite affordable and a good quality-price ratio for the area. In the end, Son’s was the top spot we ate at during our stay in Bordeaux.

Menu kept us guessing. it was incredible. So many small surprises and really good wine. Servers were very friendly and although I can speak French, they were happy to speak English as well. Can't recommend enough.
Had no real expectations for this place. Not the best place, but wow! What a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a fixed set menu of 2 appetizers, 2 main fish and meat and a sweet one. 45 euros each. We also went for tasting wine per plate offer, another 24 euros. Trust me when I say it was the best 69 euros ever spent in a restaurant The chef Renzetti is a genius! Each dish was a riot of aromas and color.... genuine top-line nouvelle cuisine and the wine was a perfect accompaniment every time. Each dish was served with a complete description of the dishes offered by very energetic and passionate staff. I don't think someone who worked at the restaurant was older than 25 but what they presented was in every way pure top-end service. This place is an absolute must for all who appreciate good food, wine and service. We will definitely go back.

As a tourist in Bordeaux we discovered this pearl. From service to the kitchen the staff is very pleasant. Level kitchen the meal was EXTRAORDINARY. The case met and the wines were great. I highly recommend.

For Christmas dinner, we chose a soundbox. We were 3. It was a pure pleasure. I congratulate the leader on improving preparations. I have 2 confessions to do to him: 1) I first thought that I would not be at the level of the task, but finally everything was very well organized and explained 2) I greatly simplified the presentation. Sorry. I highly recommend. A memory that will remain in our taste buds.
For our 32 years of marriage we chose the restaurant sound only with respect to the opinions. and sincerely we are very happy to have made this choice. the atmosphere is cozy and very pleasant. small room with space between each table. about the team, the top. They're in little care all night. they explain each ingredient in your dish and you have nothing but to dive into the world of flavors that you don't usually cross. with my wife, we've had a lot of fun. It was magical. I enjoyed their playlists in noise from font, it matched everything to my music style. the kitchen team is at the nearest to you because you can see them from your place creating. they also come to bring their small artistic notes by explaining to you the making of their works. and very sincerely 55€ is cheap because you have an entrance, 2 dishes, fish and meat as well as dessert. If we had to choose them on the map we would have for about 80/90€. And the last thing that touched us, they offered my wife a rose for our wedding anniversary. So don't look anymore, you can go with your eyes closed.
