La Petite Gironde - Bordeaux

Visited this restaurant with a large group. The restaurant handled volume of the group really well. Service was prompt, food very good, presented nicely. Wine was rather good too. If coming by car large parking area. Lovely views of the river and buildings, churches all along the river.

The worst meal ever tasted avoid very expensive and real French service - awful

My fiancée and I took advantage of the student menu at this restaurant. We've been in france two weeks and i Can say this is the best restaurant overall especially for the atmosphere and price. My dinner was a salade composee and steak with frites and steamed veggies. The portions were generous the staff was very nice, the other diners contributed nicely and the view was spectacular. We each had a ricard our meals and shared a carafe of wine all For 36 euro. I absolutely love this place!!!

One of the best things about dining on the "right" bank of the Garonne is that one is treated to wonderful views of the city. On this day, heavy rain, swollen river, etc. the lunch was really special. Situated on the banks of the Garonne River, La Petite Gironde is one of the nicest places we have been since in Bordeaux. The staff is more than efficient, friendly, and several speak English. The meal was spectacular and the wine list is very good. While we had a variety of items, each one was presented well and made each diner feel like that they had been served a special item. Wether soup, a baked camembert wrapped in bacon, the linguini with salmon, or the pork roast, or the rib eye steak everything was great. WE will return, especially when the weather warms and we will be able to use the outdoor patio.

Located at the river banks of the Garonne, "La Petite Gironde" offers a beautiful panorama of the renovated facades of the stately buildings of Bordeaux. Great service : although numerous people were eating, no delay at all for getting food and wine. We enjoyed bass fish with french fries.
