This restro and its service is one of the best of Bordeaux. High quality, great flavors, prepared with care in an open kitchen. Highly recommend. They update their menus seasonally, so it never gets old! There's lots of fun food events on their facebook page, be sure to check out! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hutong:
I did, so I was a tad disappointed. I know what authentic chicken rice and laksa taste like. The laksa hits the spot slightly better. I would suggest they put prawns and not chicken in the laksa. The laksa soup was great and redeemed the dish. The chicken rice was way off though :(Skip dessert, nothing to shout about. Service was slow but friendly. View all feedback.
The food here is really amazing and worth the trip a little from the city. My only problem is that it is not dog-friendly, which is why I will not go back. But I'm gonna take away because it's delicious.
We ate here last night and had a great time. Food was tasty and the service was very efficient. This was our 2nd time visiting Bordeaux and also the 2nd time eating at Hutong. This is one of the most authentic Asian restaurants we've been...to in France.
Having lived in Singapore for a while, we traveled to Bordeaux for having lunch at Hutong. It was well worth it! We can recommend everything we had (starters, main dishes, desserts). There are not many tables and their opening times are limited reservations are...therefore essential. Not many menu choices, but OK for use as they change the menu regularly. Not expensive. English spoken if you want.
This restaurant was on the top of my list when visiting Bordeaux. They have small, rotating menu. Thus, when I visited they did not have any vegetarian items in the menu to cater my friend. Luckily I had the chance to come back the evening...after. And I was truly happy that I could return. I was able to eat my favorite dish, Laksa. It was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. It was quaint. I also enjoyed sitting outside in the warm Bordeaux night. The service was excellent and with perfect English.
Went to eat there with a friend last week to discover their new location and it was delicious, we had the wontons for starters and I had the pork char siu as a main, and it was cooked beautifully! The owner is lovely as well,...and the ambiance is great! 100% recommend and will go again to try the other dishes on the menu!
