Traditional, regional food done right. The winery setting is lovely but the food really is second to none. Generous portions of amazing food with a generous wine list to go along. Not to miss if you visit Borba (the Borba winery own shop next door has an incredible selection of some of the best local wines). View all feedback.
The friendly family-run O Espiga carried out the local tradition of serving simple dishes of excellent quality in huge portions at low prices to perfection. It's certainly not the prettiest restaurant you'll visit in your life but you're sure to have a good experience here thanks to the friendly staff (fire up your Google translate though unless your Portuguese is fluent) and the heaps of delicious fresh fish that's being served.
Don't miss this traditional restaurant! It serves the best Portuguese cuisine from the Alentejo region. Food is homemade by the owner, his wife and sons. Prices are really reasonable. Outside the tourist tracks. Totally worth it!

Very nice restaurant! Nicely decorated, good service and above all amazing food. The meat was top notch!
