It's not often that I feel compelled to leave a review, but this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. They expertly blend traditional Filipino dishes with fresh, farm-to-table Western cuisine. The ambiance is cozy, the presentation is unexpectedly elegant, and every dish we tried was incredibly delicious. This was hands down the best meal we've had in the Philippines on this trip. An added bonus is that all menu items are clearly labeled for allergies.
We went to Nonie's after my husband read some good reviews, so we had some high expectations. Overall, we thought the food was good but didn't quite meet our high hopes. The restaurant is trendy looking, with chalk board wall displays and greenery. We ordered cocktails, and the purple pina colada was amazing! For appetizers, we got the sticky pork ribs and the tuna rolls. The sticky pork ribs were delicious; best thing we tried! We also had the fish prawn curry and the bao sliders. We thought both were pretty good! The curry was very tasty! The mango sticky rice was fine. And I enjoyed a cinnamon roll. We thought it was a nice place for dinner. It was a little overhyped but still worth checking out.
Wow!!! This restaurant is absolutely incredible, the food is amazing!!! My mother and I tried the Bistek Tagalog and Chicken and Pork Adobo, and they were not your typical dishes - they were carefully prepared with health-conscious eaters in mind while still keeping the original flavors intact. The Malungay Pineapple and Mango Turmeric Ginger smoothies were outstanding, made with the freshest ingredients. To cleanse our palate, our server Rod recommended their in-house Lemongrass Tea, which was the perfect ending to our meal. Unfortunately, we were too full from our generous portions to try their dessert. The ambiance was perfect - not pretentious, very relaxed and welcoming. Special thanks to the friendly staff, especially Rod, who was not only knowledgeable about the restaurant but also their sister restaurants like Little Taj, Muchos, and Island Izakaya. Thank you Rod, you are a valuable asset to the restaurant. Lastly, I wish we had taken a picture of our food to do justice to this review, but we were too hungry to remember. You'll just have to take my word for it.
The restaurant offers a diverse selection of both local and international dishes, from breakfast to dinner. The staff is welcoming and the location is pleasant. The only drawback is the smoke from the kitchen, which was present during both of my visits. They should address the ventilation issue.
This is the top spot for vegan cuisine in Boracay. They serve locally sourced, healthy dishes with a Filipino twist. I tried the sisig and it was the best version I've ever had. The staff is also friendly and attentive. When my bag accidentally fell on the floor, the waitress quickly came over to help me pick it up.
