Whenever you pay over $8 for two ice cream cones of hard ice cream with what was supposed to be two scoops of ice cream but instead you get barely any ice cream in one cone (flush with the cone) and the second is the wrong flavor and so melted that they pour it into a cup then stick the cone on top and hand it out the window. I hate to say it but Dairy Queen has much better quality control and consistency in their products. Tastee Freeze used to be a major favorite summer spot to visit but not so much anymore. Please train your employees the concept of being consistent on all orders.

I began going here as a teenager, back when it was still Tastee-Freez ; it was THE reason to make the trek to Boonville and the quality was unbeatable for the price. I no longer live in the Evansville area and have visited plenty of other über-Americana ice cream shops in the years since, yet I still feel this is the best I 've come across. Whenever I visit Evansville, I 'm once again all too willing to make a detour for TF. The Hoosier Experience just isn 't complete until you 've had real talk and a peanut butter milkshake with friends at a TF picnic table, as the sun sets and mosquitos bum-rush you from all sides. Ahhh, to be young again...

There can be a line around the building duringpeak times, but your patience will be rewarded.
