We stopped here for a couple of glasses of wine before dinner and were warmly welcomed by the owner/bartender who made a significant effort to chat with us about what we'd been doing even though we had a language barrier, it felt very friendly and welcoming! What Guido Koepp doesn't like about L'Esprit du Sud:
We tried to visit this place three times on different days and time, , but it was closed(even on Saturday night); although, the website says it's open everyday from 10 am to 10 pm. The wine we tried was very good. There is no seating inside, so try to get through table that is closer to the entrance to the bar, hidden away from the street or you will be looking at noise traffic passing by in front of the archway lead... Thanks to Jordan for making our family holiday so enjoyable in Bonnieux! Jordan was an amazing host and L'Esprit du Sud the perfect spot to spend the afternoons cooling off and enjoying some great wines together! We will be back - Cheers from Canada!
Happened across this cave while walking into town - excellent selection of local wine and a great atmosphere to enjoy a glass. The company of Jordin was excellent, and once you have a glass of wine there it is difficult to leave. Exceptional place - a must on a visit to Bonnieux.
Real wine cellar in the top of the village of good wines and good advice! I'll do it again!
Fabulous! Should you ever find yourself lost while driving around Provence, as we did, count your blessings if you're in the town of Les Angels.
