Neither the portion sizes nor the taste were convincing. The fish seemed undercooked, the pasta was served with almost no sauce, and the salad was noticeably under-seasoned. Furthermore, the meal caused us stomach problems afterward, which further marred the overall experience. This is particularly disappointing because both the restaurant's atmosphere and the staff were genuinely pleasant and welcoming. With better food quality, the entire experience could have been significantly more positive.

But then it took another 20 minutes and another complaint to receive the pasta’s while taking their time chatting to other clients. Food was average and we did not get any apologies at any point for the delay and the cold pasta’s. It’s a pity to have such a bad experience at a place that looks so nice.

We had cream of tomato... read more We were at Ristorante Oliveto at the end of September. It was my mother's birthday. And all I could say was: Wow... what wonderful hosts! We had cream of tomato soup, chanterelle soup, chicken breast, and gnocchi – all absolutely delicious. There was also a bread basket and, as a gift for my mother, non-alcoholic sparkling wine with sorbet. The sparkling wine was fantastic. We've never tasted such delicious non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Unfortunately, we forgot the name... but we highly recommend it. The service and ambiance were outstanding. The young man who served us was incredibly attentive and helped us enjoy the evening to the fullest. The view of the Siebengebirge and the Rhine is magnificent. We felt very comfortable, and if we're ever in Bonn again, we'll definitely come back.

Then, after 1.5 hours, the main course arrived, which was also good, but tiny for €26! So, the quality was very good, the quantity was completely inadequate, and the service was mediocre. Despite the great view, we won't be going back.
