Am going back for the seafood chowder again! Lots of scallops, mussels, big pieces of fish and prawns. Absolutely delicious. Amazing view on the deck. Staff were very friendly. What’s not to love! View all feedback.
What Qcruiser doesn't like about The Surf Club Bribie Island:
The meals we ordered were okay but nothing special. We went for dinner but it is better to go there for lunch. Then you have a great view as the inside of the dining area is very plain. The staff was very friendly. View all feedback.
Welcomed at the door and taken to reserved seats. Table service was very good and the banter was funny and witty. The food was well served and presented and was very tasty. Beer was cold and well priced
Small club but great food, you will need to book as it gets very busy. book a table outside very pleasant not as much water view as i would have expected due to the bushes
Looked like a perfect spot for lunch and a relax after a walk on a solo holiday. My first time here in this beautiful island. Restaurant was not busy yet, plenty of open tables , some reserved. I did not have a booking, guess that was my first mistake. Was offered a very tiny table stuck in a corner because I was solo. Or a tiny little bench. Neither suited for dining and high tops… for a very short person … super uncomfortable . I asked if I could sit a bit larger table for dining that had no reservation but got a chilly response and basically was advised I’d be moved. Didn’t feel welcome at any point and spoke with 3 different staff -one at entrance, one who seated me in corner and seemed unhappy I asked for a alternate empty table, another whom was preparing table and said they’d move me if someone else needed it. I left without ordering anything and found a more welcoming establishment to spend my money.

Friend and I wanted to play pool. Discovered that the surf club no longer has a pool table. Went across the road to an hotel and nearly played pool until the pal's wife phoned and told us to come back because they'd ordered a table and we were needed to pay the bill... how misandristic is that? We never did play our game of pool because our wives wanted us to enjoy ourselves by only having one glass of wine each. Ever heard of a funny review? We all really enjoyed our small time in the Surf Club and the food was terrific, ie we all decided on two mains which were the Rissoles and the Sossidges with mash. Terrific nosh and we'd have no hesitation in telling you that the Bribie island surf club is as good as it gets. Go for it.
